Mark was born and raised in Oregon. Since graduating Cum Laude from Brigham Young University’s J. Ruben Clark Law School, he has practiced law in the Portland Metropolitan area. Mr. Cottle has represented individuals in hundreds of divorces, custody determinations, support hearings and many other family law issues. He has also counseled individuals and businesses in numerous land use applications. Mr. Cottle protects contractors and material suppliers through construction liens and helps clients involved in civil litigation ranging from animal cases, trespass, landlord, employer-employee issues, commercial transactions and general civil/tort issues.
In addition to his law practice, Mr. Cottle previously served as Mayor of the City of Sherwood, on the Sherwood City Council for eight years and has served on numerous other County and City boards.
Most importantly, Mr. Cottle is married to Susie and they have 4 children (three being triplets) and two grandchildren. In his spare time, Mark runs, hikes, has a small orchard with berries and enjoys taking groups of youth on backpacking trips.
